BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
PERMANENT, FULL TIME
Business Development Manager focusing on development and sales to local, State and Federal Law Enforcement, Public Safety agencies, military and relevant dealer partners. Must reside in Texas, California, Florida, the Northeast, Michigan, Illinois or the National Capital Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with and nurture existing client base to develop relationships and grow sales
- Develop new customers in your territory
- Attends trade shows, industry events, and other functions to represent the Company.
- Provides sales and other reports to management as requested
- Responsible for establishing good working relationships with vendor reps and developing excellent product knowledge
- Mastery of product offering and solutions
- Monitors government initiatives and research and development efforts
- Provides continued feedback from customers to management and internal teams for use in product design, development and marketing
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and Customer Service team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Performs all duties in accordance with Company Quality Management System and code of ethics
- Frequent domestic travel (40-50%+)
Competencies:
- Very strong understanding of military/government customers and procurement
- Deep knowledge of Company products, including features, benefits, and applications
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; including strong presentation skills
- Team-player orientation
- Ability to organize and effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and sales objectives
- Self-initiating, with ability to work independently
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, MRP/ERP systems, CRM system, web searching)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education or experience
- 1-3 years of sales experience within military/government channels
- Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD BASE Salary + uncapped commissions + bonus possibilities
