The Safariland BALLAST™ Duty Holster is a lightweight duty holster platform designed to maximize durability, security, and duty belt efficiency in demanding operational environments. Developed through decades of user feedback and design refinement, BALLAST features a proprietary crush-resistant construction, Safariland’s Ingress Guard trigger protection system, and an internalized ALS® lever lock spring to help protect core retention components. A redesigned cantable UBL belt mount supports forward, rearward, or vertical positioning for improved comfort and draw efficiency, while maintaining compatibility with full-sized firearms and modern optic-equipped configurations.
